Templeton Sound Systems was founded over 25 years ago by Ernest "Ernie" Wayne Templeton of Cordova, South Carolina. His love for music gave him the interest in the sound installation business. He felt a calling on his life to be used by God to spread the message through his business ministry. He, with the help of his wife Jan, worked throughout the state of South Carolina and built a reputable business name for Templeton Sound Systems. After his untimely death in 1999, his son Michael Wayne Templeton prayerfully took the business and finished the 11 jobs that his father was in the process of completing. Michael's longtime family friend, Philip Lang, assisted with the installations and is still a vital part of the Templeton Sound Family. After the jobs were completed, Michael too felt the calling to continue the tradition of excellence. In 1999, Michael lived the dream that his father never saw come to life -- the Templeton Sound Systems Retail Store. It was opened in addition to the Installation side of the business. The Retail store is operated by Jan Templeton Bair and Sandi Templeton. After only 3 years of hard work, Templeton Sound Systems moved to its current home on North Road in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Templeton Sound Systems has a retail store with over 50 authorized product lines. The retail store also sells Gospel CDs, Videos, and Gospel Soundtracks from every genre. In addition to the retail store, Templeton Sound continues to custom design and install sound, video camera, video projection, video recording, and stage lighting systems for many churches. TSS wants to the Word of God to be told and heard so that the unbeliever can accept Jesus Christ into his heart. With our professionaly designed systems, we custom design them to the needs of the individual church congregations. Our installations can be viewed within our photo gallery. Our installation jobs are South and North Carolina, Georgia, and Mississippi. TSS also provides sound systems for several Southern Gospel Groups such as Brian Free & Assurance, Heirline, and The Kingsmen.
Templeton Sound Systems is a business minsitry that continues to grow from the blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have been blessed abundantly and we give God all the praise. We will continue the tradition of excellence through the Lord's grace and mercy.
